From Data to Dialogue: Mayors Reflect on the BreBeMi Highway’s Territorial Impact

The meeting brought together the mayors of the municipalities affected by the BreBeMi highway, with the aim of fostering a collaborative dialogue on the territorial transformations resulting from the highway’s construction.

During the event, the research team presented the analyses and data collected to date, providing a comprehensive overview of the observed impacts on the territory. These findings served as the basis for reflection and shared discussion among local administrations.

In addition, part of the workshop was dedicated to identifying key thematic areas, such as environmental impacts, land use changes, socio-economic consequences, and environmental compensations. The meeting represented an important step in the participatory process, encouraging the active involvement of institutional stakeholders and promoting the sharing of knowledge needed to understand and manage the long-term effects of the BreBeMi highway and other similar infrastructures.
