The city of Klagenfurt is developing a new green space factor!
As part of its new urban development concept and the revision of the local building regulation, the City of Klagenfurt is preparing to introduce a binding green space factor for construction measures.
Part of the EU project SPADES, the measure aims to prevent soil sealing, strengthen soil protection, create transparency, and promote high-quality urban development.
A full‑day co‑creation workshop with experts and administration will further refine an initial concept paper. In addition, there will be an exchange of knowledge with other cities.
The goal is to create a practical, broadly supported instrument for securing and improving green spaces throughout the city.
