Farm Workshop: A35 Brebemi

Spades is connecting with local farmers impacted by the Brebemi highway in an upcoming workshop. Togehter, we will discuss farmer experiences, gain insight into the negotiations they had with the highway company, and learn about related soil consumption. Particular attention will be paid to the social, environmental, and economic consequences of these landscape transformations.
This in-person event will start with a short introduction to the SPADES project and its objectives. We will then present the research activities and data collected so far on the Brebemi case study, with a focus on direct and indirect soil consumption, especially affecting agricultural land. This will be followed by an open discussion / round table, where each farmer will be invited to share their personal experience.
